Tips for Wearing the IRONHOLD PRO

Posted by ONIBUKIYA on

The ONI IRONHOLD PRO, part of the ONI Pro series, is continuously developed under the rigorous supervision of physical function experts and top domestic athletes. Its goal is to uncompromisingly deliver the highest performance available in commercial products, with the aim of improving powerlifting performance.

While many athletes have praised it as a game-changer far beyond existing products, some have also commented that it doesn’t quite feel right compared to what they were used to.

However, unlike in video games, in the real world, simply equipping a powerful item doesn’t automatically yield its full potential. This is especially true for sports gear, where understanding and matching the product’s characteristics with those of the body is essential to unlock its full effect.

To help maximize the performance of the IRONHOLD PRO, development advisor and physical therapist Hayato Mitsunaga provides four pattern-based tips.

Three Key Points When Wearing the Shoes

1 Where to start lacing

2 How far up to lace

3 Which strap to tighten (top or bottom)

A. For those who want maximum heel stability

Lace the shoes alternately from top to bottom. For the fourth eyelet, lace bottom to top. For the fifth eyelet, do not cross—lace to the same side. Pass the lace from the fifth eyelet under the vertical lace between the fourth and fifth eyelets. Finish with a standard bow knot.

Tighten the upper strap firmly, and leave the lower strap loose or off.

B. For those who want both heel stability and a snug fit over the instep

Lace the shoes alternately from bottom to top. For the fifth eyelet, do not cross—lace to the same side. Pass the lace from the fifth eyelet under the vertical lace between the fourth and fifth eyelets. Finish with a standard bow knot.

Tighten the upper strap firmly, and leave the lower strap loose or off.

C. For those who want toe-side stability and a snug fit over the instep

Lace the shoes alternately from bottom to top.Lace up to the fourth eyelet only—do not lace through the fifth eyelet.Finish with a standard bow knot.

Tighten the lower strap firmly, and leave the upper strap loose or off.

D. For those who want toe-side stability and freedom of movement over the instep

Lace the shoes alternately from top to bottom. Lace up to the fourth eyelet only—do not lace through the fifth eyelet. Finish with a standard bow knot.

Tighten the lower strap firmly, and leave the upper strap loose or off. For this type, pre-tightening the strap before inserting the foot may also be effective.

Summary

There is a best way to wear shoes, and the higher the performance of the shoe, the more critical it becomes to wear them properly in order to achieve their full potential.

Whether you’re already feeling the benefits of the product or not quite there yet, we encourage you to experiment with these customized fitting methods to maximize performance.
